Caring for plants in Lechuza Smart Pots

Ingrijirea plantelor in Ghivece Inteligente Lechuza

Here are some steps that must be followed in the case of watering recently transplanted plants in Lechuza smart pots:

  • for a period of approximately 3 months, the plant will be watered normally, on top of that, until the roots develop and grow in the holes of the water tank - "growth stage";
  • to check if the roots have developed sufficiently in the new system, after a few weeks you can fill the tank with water up to half;
  • if the water level drops in the following days, it means that the roots have grown in the holes of the tank and you can start using the Lechuza system;
  • fill the water tank up to "max." - "wet phase" - LECHUZA now takes care of your plants;
  • if the water level does not decrease, it means that the "growth stage" must be extended - a new test will be done in the following weeks, during which the plant is watered normally, on top of that;
  • once the "growth stage" is passed, the tank is filled to the maximum and the plant is fed directly from the system;
  • when the indicator level shows "min." you don't have to refill the tank immediately - the substrate is still wet enough to supply water to the plant; this new stage is called the "dry stage".

The "dry stage" is different for each plant and depends on several factors: the species, the variety of plants, the position of the planter, the humidity of the air and water, the temperature conditions and the requirements of the substrate.

We recommend a "dry phase" of 2 - 10 days, with the exception of plants such as cacti, where we suggest a little longer.
