Phalaenopsis zebrina - fragrant

Phalaenopsis zebrina is a rare and spectacular botanical species endemic to Borneo, valued for its medium-sized, waxy, and fragrant flowers, with a distinct pattern of reddish-brown transverse stripes on a yellow-green background, resembling a zebra's pattern.

The inflorescences are branched and can produce flowers successively over a long period, and the sweet-fruity fragrance adds extra appeal. The leaves are green, fleshy, typical of the Phalaenopsis genus, but the main focus remains on the abundant and spectacular blooming.

This species prefers warm conditions, high humidity, and diffuse light, being especially suited for botanical orchid collectors who appreciate flowers with exotic patterns and a fragrant character.
