Meyer Lemon (Lisa) is a special and highly appreciated lemon variety, known for its sweet-aromatic, juicy fruits with a balanced taste, much more pleasant than classic lemons.

This lemon variety has increased resistance and superior fruit quality. The fruits are large, sweeter, more aromatic, and juicier, almost seedless, ideal for fresh lemonades, teas, and desserts. The peel is thinner and finer, and fully ripe fruits turn orange. The peel has a strong scent of lemon, orange, and light jasmine notes.

Origin of the cultivar: The Meyer lemon originates from China. It is believed to be a cross between a lemon and a mandarin. Due to its exceptional fruits and abundant production, it has become one of the most appreciated varieties worldwide.

The plant has a compact and vigorous growth, making it ideal for pots. The leaves are dark green, glossy, and aromatic, while the white, waxy flowers have an intense and sweet citrus fragrance.

Growing suggestion: This variety usually fruits abundantly from a young age (relatively small plant size). To support the weight of the fruits, it is recommended to support the fruiting branches by fixing them to a trellis.

Main features:

  • Large, sweet, very juicy, and almost seedless fruits
  • Thin, fine peel with a complex lemon-orange-jasmine aroma
  • Abundant and fragrant flowering
  • Compact growth, suitable for terraces and balconies
  • Increased resistance to stress conditions

Easy care:

  • Light: full sun (minimum 6-8 hours per day)
  • Winter temperature: ideally 5-12°C in a bright place
  • Watering: regular, well-drained substrate
  • Fertilizing: special citrus fertilizer, from spring to autumn

Meyer Lemon 'Lisa' is the perfect choice if you want a decorative, productive plant with premium quality fruits – sweet, aromatic, juicy, and excellent for fresh lemonades. It looks elegant on terraces or balconies and offers a generous harvest!

Note: All citrus plants we sell are edible species (meaning they produce fruits that can be consumed), with the mention that some producers (such as Citrina) apply for additional cultivation certifications for “edible fruits” consumption.
