Maslin (Olea europaea) – simbol mediteranean al longevitatii, frumusetii si rezistentei
Olea europaea, known in Romania as the olive tree or olive tree plant, is an evergreen shrub or tree native to Mediterranean regions. It is valued both for its ornamental appearance – with narrow, silvery, elegant leaves – and for its cultural and symbolic significance. In the right climate, it can become a central feature in any garden with Mediterranean or rustic influences.
The olive tree grows slowly but steadily, eventually forming a dense and well-branched crown. It is an ideal choice for decorating terraces, yards, or sunny gardens, but it can also be grown in a pot, with indoor wintering in areas with cold winters.
