Camellia japonica 'Bonomiana' - rezistenta la inghet
Camellia is a wonderful plant that delights us with its incredible flowers. The plant grows as a shrub and is suitable both for indoor spaces and for terraces or gardens. It blooms abundantly for 4-6 months a year (depending on care and microclimate).
In Asia, Camellia holds special importance, popularly called the "tea plant" and considered a symbol of samurais.
CAMELLIA JAPONICA CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Plant development: Shrub, with a maximum height of 1.5 - 2 m
Placement: Camellia needs plenty of light but does not tolerate direct sunlight all day long. It is recommended to place it in cool, partially shaded but bright areas with constant humidity. Under Romanian climate conditions, the plant thrives well outdoors - provided it is planted in a more protected spot in the garden. It does NOT tolerate large temperature differences (moving indoor-outdoor, from warm to cold or vice versa)!
Soil: prefers slightly acidic soil, but also grows well in neutral soil - in the garden, this can be improved by adding sulfur supplements.
Propagation: By cuttings.
Note: Not all flowers are variegated. In this hybrid, flower variegation appears spontaneously.
Withstands temperatures down to -18 degrees Celsius.

Height with pot included: approx. 50-60 cm (varies depending on the season)
