The camellia is a wonderful plant that delights us with its incredible flowers. The plant grows as a shrub and is suitable both for indoor spaces and for terraces or gardens. It blooms abundantly for 4-6 months a year (depending on care and microclimate).
In Asia, the camellia holds special importance, being popularly called the "tea plant" and considered a symbol of the samurai.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CAMELLIA JAPONICA
Plant growth: Shrub, with a maximum height of 1.5 - 2 m
Placement: The camellia needs plenty of light but cannot tolerate direct sunlight throughout the day. It is recommended to place it in cool, partly shaded but bright spaces, with constant humidity. Under the climate conditions in Romania, the plant withstands outdoor conditions very well—provided it is planted in the garden in a more sheltered spot. It does NOT tolerate large temperature differences (moving between indoors and outdoors, from warm to cold or vice versa)!

Soil: prefers slightly acidic soil but also grows well in neutral soil—in the garden, this can be improved by adding sulfur supplements.
Propagation: By cuttings.

Note: Not all flowers are variegated. In this hybrid, flower variegation appears spontaneously.
It withstands temperatures down to -18 degrees Celsius.

Pot diameter: 15 cm

Height including pot: approx. 50-60 cm (varies depending on the season)
