Skimmia japonica reevesiana 'Rubella'

Skimmia Rubella Japonica, or the Japanese Lilac, is an ornamental, evergreen shrub native to Japan and China, much loved for its brightly colored flowers and fruits.
It blooms from April to May, and at the end of the flowering period, small fruits appear in clusters, which last until the following year.

Placement: The Japanese Lilac loves light, but during summer it is recommended to place it in a spot sheltered from the strong sun rays. It requires well-drained soil.
Characteristics: Skimmia Japonica tolerates both high and low temperatures well. It grows best at around 20 degrees Celsius.

It can withstand garden temperatures down to -25 degrees Celsius.
