Sinningia Brocade Violet - Gloxinia Sonata with double purple flower

Gloxinia (Sinningia speciosa) is a very beloved houseplant. The large, bell-shaped flowers stand above the silky leaves of this bulbous plant, native to Brazil and related to the African violet.

Gloxinia needs water, but it will never tolerate water on its leaves or flower crown. Provide the plant with the moisture it needs by placing a saucer filled with water under the pot.
