Rhododendron 'Glowing Embers'

Rhododendron 'Glowing Embers' is a remarkable type of rhododendron distinguished by its impressive flowers and vibrant color. It is a popular ornamental plant, valued for its spectacular appearance and its ability to add a bright splash of color to gardens of any size.

This azalea belongs to the Mollis group, known for its hybrid azaleas that are resistant to low temperatures and have abundant blooming.

Rhododendron 'Glowing Embers' typically reaches heights of 1.2-1.8 meters and a similar spread. The foliage is evergreen, dark green, with oval to lance-shaped leaves that can be up to 10-15 cm long. The leaves remain on the plant throughout the year, providing constant visual interest.

• Light: Prefers partly shaded places, protected from direct midday sun, but can also tolerate full sun if sufficient moisture is provided.
• Soil: The soil should be well-drained, acidic (with a pH between 4.5 and 6), and rich in organic matter. Avoid alkaline and chalky soils.
• Watering: Rhododendron 'Glowing Embers' requires consistently moist soil, but without waterlogging. During dry or excessively hot periods, additional watering may be necessary.
