Pomul de stafide - Amelanchier lamarckii - fructe dulci si aromate
The serviceberry tree, Amelanchier lamarckii, also commonly known as "Canadian blueberry" - a highly valued species, both for its decorative appearance and for its sweet, aromatic, delicious fruits.
In spring, Amelanchier lamarckii is covered with delicate, white, star-shaped flowers with a subtle fragrance. In autumn, the foliage creates a true spectacle - the leaves turn shades of red-orange. The plant is often used by renowned designers for concept garden arrangements.
The fruits resemble blueberries but are much sweeter and more aromatic, and the yield is very high. When not picked in time, the fruits dry on the tree and have a taste and appearance similar to raisins. The fruits can be eaten fresh or used in desserts, jams, or other preparations.
Amelanchier lamarckii can be grown as a shrub or as a tree. Its mature height can reach 3-4m.

It does not require special soil and is resistant to diseases and pests. It withstands temperatures down to -30 °C without needing winter protection.
