Mammillaria painterii is a species of cactus native to Mexico, beloved by collectors for its compact appearance and beautiful flowers. The small, globular stems are covered with tubercles with short, fine, white or yellowish spines, which give it an attractive and tidy appearance. In spring, the plant blooms spectacularly, forming a crown of small flowers, in shades of white or delicate pink, at the top of the stems.

Minimum resistance temperature: up to approx. 0°C, but wintering indoors is recommended in Romania
Wintering: A dormant period at lower temperatures (5–10°C) helps stimulate flowering
