Iris kaempferi 'Variegata' (Ensata)
Iris kaempferi 'Variegata' (Ensata) is a decorative Japanese iris, with long, narrow, green foliage with creamy-white or yellow edges and large, purple-violet flowers, which bloom in June-July. It grows up to 90 cm tall, prefers moist soils, rich in organic matter, and develops well in full sun or partial shade. Cold-resistant (Zones 4-9), but requires constant humidity. It is ideal for the edge of ponds, Asian gardens or large pots and brings a lush appearance with minimal maintenance.
It withstands temperatures down to -30 degrees Celsius.
