Eucalipt - Eucalyptus pulchella (syn. E. linearis)
Eucalyptus pulchella - a striking variety endemic to Tasmania, notable for its silvery-blue foliage. The leaves are thin and long, delicate, and at maturity can reach up to 12 cm in length and about 1 cm in width. It is an easy-to-grow shrub, compact, well-branched, evergreen, with rapid growth and high resistance to low temperatures.
Eucalyptus naturally acts as a good repellent for flies and mosquitoes, which is why it is often grown on terraces or in gardens. Due to its hardiness, it is also used as a windbreak, for covering fences, and so on.
The foliage is frequently used in floral arrangements and bouquets because of its appearance and distinctive scent – the plants are trimmed several times a year and then branch out quickly. In some countries, this variety is cultivated and harvested extensively for its hardwood, which can be used in construction, for furniture pieces, or as fuel. The sap extracted from this tree is a good natural insecticide and repellent.
Other known names: Eucalyptus linearis (synonym), White Peppermint
It does not require special soil and is resistant to diseases and pests, being naturally considered "pest free". It withstands temperatures down to -20 °C without needing winter protection.
The decorative ceramic pot is not included in the price.
Height including pot: approx. 50 cm
Recommendation: We recommend planting the eucalyptus in the garden or in large pots placed outdoors during the summer. It is an outdoor plant and does not fare well long-term in small pots. Do not expose the plant to strong sunlight before planting.
