Encyclia (Prostechea) Green Hornet

The Encyclia orchid is native to tropical America and the West Indies, but it also grows in Mexico and South America. In their natural habitat, these orchids grow on trees and shrubs and prefer climates with wet and dry seasons. Some species are lithophytes, but most are epiphytes and thrive on wood, cork, tree bark, and pots in fast-draining environments such as fir bark.
