Echinocereus pectinatus is one of the most appreciated cacti native to northern Mexico and the southwestern United States, renowned for its elegant appearance and spectacular flowering. Its cylindrical stem is almost completely covered with fine spines arranged regularly like a comb, giving it a delicate and highly decorative appearance.

In spring or early summer, mature specimens produce large flowers in shades of pink, magenta, or violet, which can exceed the diameter of the plant. The contrast between the vibrant flowers and the whitish spines makes Echinocereus pectinatus a highly valued species among cactus collectors. Thanks to its compact size and excellent drought tolerance, it is ideal for growing in pots, rock gardens, or xeriscape gardens.
