Clematite de iarna, evergreen - Clematis cirrhosa 'Wisley Cream' (flori parfumate)
Clematis cirrhosa 'Wisley Cream' is a perennial climbing plant, valued for its distinctive flowers that appear mainly in the cooler months of the year. It was named after the place where it was cultivated, the RHS Wisley garden.
Awards won: RHS Award of Garden Merit
This variety has vigorous growth, reaching heights of up to 3-4 meters. The leaves are semi-evergreen, meaning some remain on the plant throughout winter, depending on climatic conditions. In extreme winters, the plant may lose all its leaves.
Flowering generally begins in November or December and can continue until February or March.
The delicate bell-shaped flowers are cream-colored. According to some sources, they have a subtle fragrance.
To encourage proper/abundant winter flowering, as well as foliage retention, it is recommended to place the plant in areas sheltered from blizzards/strong drafts.
Attention - under certain conditions, Clematis cirrhosa may go dormant during the warm season - in which case it is necessary to reduce watering. Dormancy may also involve some foliage deterioration.
