This variety has a vigorous growth, reaching heights of up to 3-4 meters. The leaves are semi-perennial, that is, some of them remain on the plant during the winter, depending on the climatic conditions. In the case of extreme winters, it is possible for the plant to lose all its leaves.
Flowering generally begins in November or December and can continue until February or March.
The delicate bell-shaped flowers are cream-colored. According to some sources, it has a discreet fragrance.
To encourage proper/abundant winter flowering, as well as to preserve the foliage, it is recommended to place the plant in areas protected from blizzards/strong air currents.
Attention - under certain conditions, Clematis cirrhosa can go dormant during the warm season - in which case it is necessary to reduce watering. Dormancy may also involve some damage to the foliage.
