Clematite spectaculoase - Clematis Barbara Jackman (Early Large-flowered Group)
Clematis 'Barbara Jackman' is a hybrid with large, extremely spectacular and appreciated flowers, renowned for the dramatic contrast between the intense violet-purple color of the petals and the dark burgundy-red central bar.
It blooms abundantly in May–June with large (12–15 cm diameter), flat and elegant flowers, with 6–8 sepals. Many specimens repeat flowering in autumn (August–September), offering a long decorative period. The fragrance is slightly sweet, but the main attraction remains the strong color and contrast.
The plant has vigorous growth, reaching 2.5–3.5 m in height. The leaves are green, trifoliate, and the flowers are borne on both new and old shoots.
