Citrus Rangpur Lime (Leila Lime - Citrina)
It is said that Rangpur Lime is a variety originating from India. In India, it is called Gandhraj, which loosely translates to "King of Aromas." The flowers have purple buds and a very strong fragrance.
Rangpur Lime is actually a cross between a mandarin and a lemon, resulting in an aromatic fruit similar to a lime – which is why it is generally sold as a lime (a fact that causes much confusion).
The Rangpur Lime fruits are not green – they turn orange when ripe. The fruits are very juicy, edible (but sour), fragrant, and are used for cooking, to decorate drinks, or as seasonings.
Other known names: Limetta Rosa, Orange Lime,
