Camelia is a wonderful plant that delights us with its incredible flowers. The plant grows as a shrub and is suitable both for indoor spaces and for terraces or gardens. It blooms abundantly for 4-6 months a year (depending on care and microclimate).
In Asia, Camellia holds special importance, being popularly called the "tea plant" and considered a symbol of samurais.

CAMELLIA JAPONICA CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Plant development: Shrub, with a maximum height of 1.5 - 2 m
Placement: Camellia needs plenty of light but does not tolerate direct sunlight throughout the day. It is recommended to place it in cool, partially shaded but bright areas with constant humidity. Under Romanian climate conditions, the plant withstands outdoor conditions very well - provided it is planted in the garden in a more protected spot. It does NOT tolerate large temperature differences (moving indoor-outdoor, from warm to cold or vice versa)!

Soil: prefers slightly acidic soil but also grows well in neutral soil - in the garden, this can be improved by adding sulfur supplements.
Propagation: By cuttings.
Resistant to temperatures down to -18 degrees Celsius.
Height including pot: approx. 30-35 cm
Pot diameter: 12 cm
