Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis - botanical species, so named not for the similarity of the flowers, but for the similarity of the leaves of the plant (with Phalaenopsis gigantea), this is a large-sized epiphytic species, originally from New Guinea. It is found at altitudes lower than 500 meters and blooms on a basal stem, short and fasciculate, with flowers grouped around the pseudobulbs.
It is a species that grows well in warm conditions and needs deep shade, good air circulation and high humidity to develop properly.
