Begonia 'Maui Sunset'

🌱 Characteristics and care

Humidity: They prefer high humidity. A slightly humid environment is recommended, but avoid spraying the leaves directly, as this can encourage spots or fungal diseases.

Temperature: They grow best at temperatures between 18–24°C. Temperatures that are too low can cause the leaves to fall or growth to stall.

Light: They need indirect, diffused light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while insufficient light can cause their colors to lose intensity and the leaves to yellow.

Watering: The substrate should be kept slightly moist but well-drained. Overwatering is one of the most common causes of problems (root rot).

Fertilizing: Moderate fertilizing is recommended during the growing season, using a fertilizer for foliage plants or ornamental plants grown for their leaves.

Maintenance: Check the leaves regularly for any signs of pests or disease and promptly apply appropriate treatments if needed.
