Aloe striata (also known as Coral Aloe ) is a species of succulent aloe, valued for its smooth, blue-green leaves with distinctive red edges, which give it an impressive decorative appearance.

Description:

Family : Asphodelaceae

Origin : South Africa

Size : Grows up to 30-45 cm tall and 60 cm in diameter

Leaves : Broad, smooth, blue-green in color, without spines on the edges, but with a reddish or coral tint, more pronounced in conditions of water stress or intense sun exposure.

Flowers : It blooms in spring, producing tall flower stalks (up to 90 cm) with tubular, coral-orange flowers, attractive to birds and bees.

Growth : Plant with moderate growth rate, adapted to drought conditions.

Care:

Light: Prefers bright light, direct sun or partial shade. More sun exposure intensifies the color of the leaves.

Soil: Requires a well-drained substrate, preferably a mix for cacti and succulents.

Watering: Water moderately in the warm season, letting the soil dry out between waterings. In winter, watering should be significantly reduced.

Temperature: It withstands temperatures down to -5°C for a short time, but it is recommended to be protected during frosty periods.

Aloe striata is an ideal plant for xerophyte gardens, succulent borders or decorative pots, due to its distinctive appearance and minimal care requirements.
