Yucca elephantipes 'Emilia' (variegata) - H 110 cm
Yucca elephantipes 'Emilia' - special variety, with variegated leaves.
Native to Central America (Mexico and Guatemala), Yucca was used by the Mayan people 2000 years ago as medicine and food. The Indians considered it the most beautiful shrub of the deserts, idolized it for centuries and even gave it the name "tree of life" due to its miraculous effects.
It has become very popular as a houseplant since the 1960s. The leaves are arranged in bunches like palm trees, and the stem is covered with traces of fallen leaves and resembles an elephant's foot.
The indoor yucca will survive in darker rooms, but will require attention to compensate for the lack of light.
