Tillandsia ‘Eric Knobloch’ is a natural hybrid between Tillandsia brachycaulos and Tillandsia streptophylla, valued for its ornamental shape and spectacular flowering. It is a decorative epiphytic plant, ideal for air plants collections or modern arrangements.

🌿 Botanical characteristics:

  • Genus: Tillandsia

  • Family: Bromeliaceae

  • Origin: horticultural hybrid (Central America)

  • Foliage: silvery green, elongated and slightly twisted, acquiring reddish tones before flowering

  • Flowers: long, tubular, intense violet color, beautifully contrasting with reddish rosettes

☀️ Growing conditions:

  • Light: strong indirect natural light; tolerates a few hours of gentle morning sun

  • Watering: mist 2–3 times a week; fully submerge the plant in water for 15–20 minutes once a week, then let it dry completely

  • Temperature: 18–28°C; avoid cold below 12°C

  • Humidity: moderate to high (above 50%); ideal for bathrooms, terrariums, or plant display cases
