Liliac compact - Syringa patula 'Miss Kim' - flori parfumate, infloriri abundente
Syringa pubescens subsp. patula 'Miss Kim' - a stunning, compact variety with extremely abundant blooms. The flowers have a color similar to lavender and are strongly and pleasantly fragrant.
This variety also stands out for its autumn appearance, when the leaves turn shades of deep red.
Unlike the common lilac known in Romania (Syringa josikaea or Hungarian lilac), this variety blooms much more profusely, with the entire bush practically covered in flowers.
The flowers are smaller but appear in much greater numbers, and the contrast between the unopened buds and the open flowers is quite striking. The scent is also delightful - sweet, strong, with specific floral notes.
Optimal placement. The plant loves direct sunlight - this also contributes to the abundance of blooms, but it can adapt to partially shaded areas as well. Periodic watering is necessary during the first year after planting - until it develops a strong root system. It tolerates poor/nutrient-deficient soils well. It can be fertilized with any general-purpose fertilizer. A very hardy variety - not significantly affected by diseases or pests.
