Streptocarpus ‘Purpelina’
Streptocarpus (Cape Primrose) are easy-to-care-for plants that come in a wide range of attractive colors and will produce flowers over several months. Streptocarpus are related to African violets, but their care is somewhat different.
Streptocarpus care:
- do not expose directly to sunlight.
- water regularly starting in March. Allow the soil to dry between waterings. Plants can be watered from above or below, but do not allow water to stagnate in the pot.
- fertilize every 2 weeks, at half strength, from March to September.
- remove dead flower stems from the base.
- Winter: temperature should not drop below 7-10 degrees Celsius.
Height including pot: 25 cm
Pot diameter: 13 cm
Note: The leaves of this plant are brittle and can easily be damaged during transport and handling.
