Saponaria 'Bressingham' is a special variety of soapwort, a rustic and easy-to-grow perennial plant, known in Romania also under the popular name of soapwort or soap grass . This selection stands out for its intense pink flowers, grouped in dense clusters, which appear in abundance during the summer and transform any border or layer into a brightly colored carpet.

Full name: Saponaria ocymoides 'Bressingham'

Family: Caryophyllaceae

Plant type: creeping or low-growing perennial

Foliage: dark green, small and dense, covers the ground well

Flowers: small, in shades of bright pink, arranged in decorative clusters

Flowering: May – July

Light: prefers full sun , but tolerates light partial shade

Soil: well-drained , preferably calcareous or sandy, poor in nutrients

Watering: low – drought tolerant plant, water moderately

Maintenance: light pruning after flowering stimulates compact growth and easy new flowering
