Pomegranate - Punica granatum 'Crimson Sky' - vigorous variety, very resistant to cold, self-fertile, with medium to large fruits, which ripen early in October, juicy, with a strong aroma and sweet-acidic taste. The flowers are also large and decorative, compared to other varieties.

Crimson Sky™ is a new cultivar developed at the Nikita Botanical Garden in Ukraine , remarkable for its unusual cold resistance . The large, red flowers appear at the beginning of summer and the plant continues to bloom for several months. The fruits, red-orange on the outside and blood red on the inside, ripen towards the end of autumn and are produced in abundance. The plant prefers intense heat during the summer to develop optimally.

Placement : direct sun or partial shade. It must be protected in winter, if the temperatures drop below -14°C. Mature specimens withstand temperatures of -25°C without significant losses.
