Rhipsalis puniceodiscus is a rare species of epiphytic cactus, native to the tropical forests of South America, where it grows naturally on the trunks and branches of trees. The plant is distinguished by its thin, segmented, deep green stems, which gracefully arch and form a spectacular "waterfall" effect when grown in hanging pots.

Optimum temperature: +18°C to +28°C; does not tolerate temperatures below +10°C
Humidity: appreciates a moderate to high level, specific to tropical plants
