Full description and specifications

Rebutia cv. sunrise is a hybrid resulting from the crossing of the species Rebutia heliosa and Rebutia pulvinosa ssp. albiflora.

It is a succulent plant native to South America, especially the mountainous areas of Bolivia and Argentina.

Synonyms: Sulcorebutia 'Sunrise', Rebutia heliosa 'Sunrise'.

This variety has a small and compact shape, usually globular, with a diameter of 5-6 cm. The body of the cactus is dark green and is covered with small protuberances (tubers) from which grow thin, radiating spines.

The defining characteristic of Rebutia cv. 'Sunrise' is its inflorescence. The flowers appear in spring. The flowers are large compared to the size of the plant and can completely cover the body of the cactus, creating a striking visual spectacle.

Care for this plant requires a bright environment, but with protection from the scorching midday sun. Watering is done moderately, letting the soil dry completely between waterings, and in winter watering is significantly reduced. The soil must be well drained to prevent root rot.

Height with pot included approx. 10-12 cm
The plant is sold without flowers!
