Pleiospilos nelii Rubra

Pleiospilos nelii 'Rubra' , also known as "Living Stone" , is a rare and fascinating succulent, noted for its compact form and spectacular coloration, in shades of intense red, burgundy and purple . This variety comes from the arid regions of South Africa , where it has perfectly adapted to the conditions of extreme drought, developing fleshy leaves, with a slightly granulated texture, similar to a stone .

This imitation of stones helps it camouflage itself in its natural habitat, thus protecting itself from predators. In addition to its unique appearance, Pleiospilos nelii 'Rubra' produces large, daisy-like flowers of lilac-pink or deep red color , which open in the sun, providing a spectacular contrast to its ruby ​​leaves.
