Platycerium bifurcatum ('Staghorn' Fern)

Platycerium Bifurcatum , popularly called the Stag Horn fern, is an epiphytic fern, with leaves resembling the antlers of a deer, hence the plant's name.
It has two types of leaves: sterile, flattened ones that attach to the substrate and help absorb water, and fertile ones that are divided and resemble deer antlers. Here are some tips for caring for this unique plant:
Light: Prefers indirect but bright light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the leaves.
Watering : Ferns need a moist environment. Make sure the substrate dries out slightly between waterings. Avoid spraying directly on the fertile leaves to prevent mold growth.
Humidity: Prefers high humidity. You can maintain high humidity levels by misting with water or using a humidifier.
Substrate : As an epiphyte, Platycerium bifurcatum grows best in an airy, organic-rich substrate mix. Orchid or fern mixes are often suitable.
Fertilization: Use a diluted, nitrogen-rich fertilizer every few weeks during the active growth period (spring and summer).
Temperature: Prefers moderate temperatures, between 16-24 degrees Celsius. Avoid exposure to cold drafts or temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius.
