Philodendron martianum - a small-sized botanical species, native to Brazil.
The plant is notable for its thick, fleshy, cylindrical petioles, at the ends of which appear long, shiny leaves of a deep green color. Sometimes the plant shows spontaneous variegation.
Mature specimens reach a height of up to 65 cm.

The plant’s name was given after Karl Friedrich Von Martius, a great Austrian botanist who worked in Brazil.
