Muscata trandafir - Pelargonium Royal Rosebud 'Emma'
Pelargonium Royal Rosebud 'Emma' is a zonal geranium variety from the "rosebud" category, highly prized for its dense flowers and regal appearance. This geranium offers a combination of elegance and abundant flowering, making it ideal for pots, planters and floral arrangements.
Detailed Description:
- Flowers: Distinctive for 'Emma' are its fully double flowers, which retain a compact, rosebud or mini-tulip shape, even when fully open. The color is a delicate, pastel pink, to pale pink , sometimes with almost white shades towards the base of the petals. The flowers are grouped in round and very full inflorescences, appearing continuously and in large numbers throughout the warm season. The overall appearance is one of dense "mini-bouquets".
- Leaves: The leaves are medium to dark green , with a zonation (a darker ring) characteristic of zonal geraniums. They are round, slightly lobed and have a slightly velvety texture, creating a pleasant contrast with the pale flowers.
- Habit: The plant has an erect and compact habit, growing in the form of a well-branched bush. This dense growth makes it ideal for filling pots and planters, having a tidy and robust appearance.
- Dimensions: 'Emma' generally reaches a height of approximately 30-45 cm and a similar width, being a medium-sized plant, suitable for various uses in gardening.
- Winter hardiness: Being a geranium, it is not frost hardy . In climates with cold winters, it is grown as an annual plant or can be wintered indoors, in a bright and cool place, with reduced watering.
Key Features:
- "Rosebud" type: Its double, bud-shaped flowers give it a distinct appearance and special charm, setting it apart from traditional geraniums.
- Delicate Color: Its pale and elegant pink makes it perfect for sophisticated arrangements or to add a touch of softness to the garden.
- Abundant Blooming: Produces a multitude of flowers throughout the warm season, providing a constant and colorful view.
- Compact and Neat Growth: Its well-defined and branched shape makes it easy to maintain and ideal for growing in containers.
- Zonate Leaves: The presence of zonation on the leaves adds an additional decorative element.
Care and requirements:
It requires a sunny location, with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day, and well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Watering should be moderate, keeping the soil slightly moist, with breaks between sessions to avoid excess water. It is resistant to rain, but sensitive to temperatures below 5°C, requiring winter protection (moving indoors or storing in a cool, dry place). Removing wilted flowers stimulates continuous flowering.
The color of the flowers may vary slightly depending on location and light conditions. This variety is appreciated for its stability in cultivation and its ability to withstand difficult conditions.
❗ Note : Due to international shipping and adaptation to the new environment, geranium leaves may show defects or lose parts of the leaves. These changes are normal and temporary and do not affect the overall health of the plant. The plants grow quickly and recover easily if given optimal conditions.
The plant may arrive to you with or without flowers , but it is capable of blooming throughout the summer.
