Full description and specifications

Passiflora 'Lavender Lady' (Amethyst) is an old, spectacular hybrid, originating in the UK, which resulted from crossing Passiflora amethystina and Passiflora caerulea (species with very good resistance to cold).

The theory that Passiflora 'Amethyst' and Passiflora 'Lavender Lady' are different clones of the same cross is still being debated, the similarity between the two being very high, with minimal morphological differences.

The flowers of Passiflora 'Lavender Lady' (Amethyst) specimens are large (in the case of mature specimens), with a diameter of up to 10-15 cm. They have a complex and attractive shape, with delicate petals arranged in layers. They have a delicate fragrance and can attract pollinators, such as bees and butterflies.

The foliage of Passiflora 'Lavender Lady' (Amethyst) consists of green, glossy and lobed leaves, with three distinct lobes. This plant is a vigorous liana, with flexible stems that coil around the supports and can reach up to 4-6 meters in height.

Passiflora 'Lavender Lady' (Amethyst) grows well in areas with a mild climate or in protected indoor spaces. It prefers a sunny or partially shaded position and a well-drained soil, rich in organic matter. This plant is sensitive to low temperatures and must be protected during the winter.

In terms of care, Passiflora 'Lavender Lady' (Amethyst) requires regular watering and periodic fertilization to support growth and abundant flowering. Periodic pruning helps maintain the shape and stimulates the development of new shoots.
