Full description and specifications

Paphiopedilum rothschildianum - rare, impressive botanical species, which stands out for both the size of the plant and the size of the flowers.

The flowering stems reach a height of 80 cm and bear 2-6 large flowers (25-45 cm), fragrant.

Paphiopedilum rothschildianum is among the rarest orchids in the world, because it grows naturally only in the north of the Borneo islands, on one side of Mount Kinabalu - a rather limited area. In the past, the price of a plant reached 5-6000 dollars, which is why it was popularly called "Gold of Kinabalu". Over time, the price decreased, especially after mass propagation through the tissue culture method was successful.

Popular names: Kinabalu Gold, Rothschild's slipper
Flower size: 25-45 cm
