Papaya in pots - Papaya carica (young specimens grown 100% biologically)

Papaya carica - herbaceous plant with low branching, growing on a tall stem, cultivated in most tropical countries. It is also known as mamao, tree melon, or lechoza.
The cultivated version of the plant produces the fruit that is commonly found in commerce, measuring approximately 15 cm. The ripe fruit is sweet-scented, juicy, melon-like, and orange in color.
The leaves of the plant have been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. The unripe fruit and leaves contain a unique enzyme called papain - this is used to tenderize tough meats in the food industry, but also traditionally by wrapping meats in the leaves.
The papaya carica loses its leaves at the base as it grows in height. This is part of the plant's natural evolutionary process.
Hardiness in the garden: up to -7°C, but at this temperature it is expected to lose its leaves completely. Wintering indoors or in protected spaces is recommended.
Pot diameter: 12 cm.
Height with pot included: 25-35 cm.
