Paeonia Suffruticosa, commonly known as the shrub garden peony, is an unusual peony of Asian origin. There are Japanese and Chinese cultivars.
Unlike the classic peony, Paeonia Suffruticosa grows (slowly) as a woody shrub reaching a height of 2-3 m.
Placement: sunny or partly sunny location. Areas sheltered from strong winds or extreme temperatures are preferred.
