Osmanthus heterophyllus 'Variegatus', also known as variegated false olive or variegated osmanthus, is an ornamental perennial shrub native to East Asia, valued for its persistent, dark green foliage with creamy-white edges , and for its fragrant white flowers that appear in autumn. The leaves have a shape and texture similar to those of holly, being stiff, glossy and slightly spiny at the edges. This cultivar adds a special visual effect to the garden in any season and is excellent both as a solitary plant and in decorative hedges.
