Muscate parfumate antitantari - Scented Geranium (parfum de lamaie)
As their name suggests, Scented Geraniums are evergreen perennial plants mainly grown for their fragrant leaves. The scent is released when the leaves are touched or rubbed.
The flowers, although small, have a delicate beauty, ranging from deep red to pale pink. Heights vary: some grow over one meter; others reach only 30 cm. Pinching the tips can easily help control the height.
Scented geraniums are very tolerant of drought and heat. Over 400 years, 140 varieties have been developed with an impressive range of fragrances. These include rose, lime, lemon, nutmeg, peach, cinnamon, eucalyptus, grapefruit, almond ginger, oak, mint, strawberry, coconut, and apple. It is no surprise that many are commercially grown for their oil, which is used by the perfume industry.
Pot diameter 12 cm
Height including pot 15-20 cm
Note: The size and appearance of the plant vary depending on the season.
