Rubus fruticosus 'Loch Ness' is a thornless blackberry variety, self-fertile, that produces very large (around 4g) and elongated black fruits, aromatic, starting from mid-July.

Variety awarded by RHS with the Award of Garden Merit.

Rubus fruticosus 'Loch Ness' is valued for its very high yields and superior fruit quality. A medium-vigour, compact variety that requires support (trellises, wire fences, etc.).

Remontant variety - produces fruit from July to September.
For optimal results, it is recommended to place it in a sunny area and water during the warm season. In spring, when the canes exceed 1m, it is advisable to pinch the tip to encourage branching and increase yield. At the beginning of winter, old canes can be cut to encourage new growth in the next season - fruits on annual growths.

Resistant to temperatures down to -25 °C. Very resistant plant to diseases and pests.
Pot size: 11-14 cm or 2 litres
Height including pot: approx. 40-60 cm (varies depending on the season)
