• Tillandsia is an epiphytic plant (does not grow in soil), which takes up water and nutrients mainly through its leaves.

• Light: plenty of indirect light; avoid strong midday sun (it can burn the leaves through the glass).

• Air circulation: very important; after watering, do not let water stagnate in the plant or in the globe.

• Optimal temperature: 18–28°C; protect from cold drafts and low temperatures.

• Fertilizing: optional, rarely (once every 4–6 weeks) with very diluted fertilizer for tillandsia/orchids.
