Masdevallia wendlandiana
Masdevallia wendlandiana is a compact epiphytic orchid species, native to the moist mountain forests of Costa Rica and Panama, where it grows at high altitudes in cool and humid conditions. It has green, elliptical leaves about 8-12 cm long, and produces short flower clusters with small flowers around 2-3 cm, ranging from pale yellow to cream, with sepals joined at the base forming a tubular structure and subtle purple spots, blooming abundantly in spring and summer. It is easy to grow in small pots or terrariums, preferring indirect light, high humidity, and moderate temperatures with nighttime drops.
