Masdevallia polysticta var. yellow

Masdevallia polysticta var. yellow is a compact orchid variety, native to the mountainous regions of Colombia, which grows epiphytically at high altitudes, favoring cool and moist conditions. It has green, oval leaves about 10-15 cm long, and produces branched flower clusters with multiple small flowers, about 2-3 cm, in shades from pale yellow to bright yellow, spotted with purple or black dots, and with long, curved yellow tails. It blooms more frequently in spring and requires moderate indirect light.
