Lithops mix ("Living stones") D8

Lithops , also known as "living stones" , are a genus of unique miniature succulents, adapted to survive in the arid regions of South Africa and Namibia . These plants are masters of mimicry , with thick, fleshy leaves that resemble stones in texture and color , allowing them to blend in perfectly with their natural habitat.
Lithops are highly prized for their exotic appearance and spectacular growth process , in which the old leaves dry out, nourishing the new pair that emerges each year. In addition to their unique appearance, these succulents produce delicate, daisy-like flowers in shades of white, yellow or orange, providing a striking contrast to their discreet leaves.
Care instructions
Due to their adaptation to extreme environments, Lithops require a strict watering regime and correct lighting conditions to grow healthily:
🌿 Light: Requires intense direct light , at least 5-6 hours of sun per day . Lack of light can lead to the leaves elongating and losing their characteristic shape.
🌡️ Temperature: Tolerates temperatures between 5-35°C , but must be protected from frost (below 5°C ).
💧 Watering: Very little!
• Spring - Fall: Water only when the leaves begin to wrinkle slightly, approximately once every 3-4 weeks .
• Winter: Do not water at all! During this period, the plant consumes water from the old leaves, which will dry out and feed the new growth.
🌱 Substrate: An extremely well-drained mixture based on sand, gravel and perlite , similar to desert soil.
🌿 Fertilization: Once every 3-4 months , using a very diluted fertilizer for succulents (NPK 5-10-10) , but only during the growing season.
🪴 Transplantation: Required every 3-5 years , as they grow slowly and do not require frequent pot changes.
Height with pot included: 7-10 cm
