Citrus Rangpur Lime (Lime Leila - Citrina)
Rangpur Lime is said to be a variety originating from India. In India it is called Gandhraj, loosely translated "King of Aromas". The flowers have purple buds and a very intense fragrance.
Rangpur Lime is actually a cross between a mandarin and a lemon, the result being an aromatic fruit, similar to a Lime - which is why it is generally marketed as a Lime (an aspect that generates a lot of confusion).
Rangpur Lime fruits are not green - they turn orange when ripe. The fruits are very juicy, edible (but sour), aromatic, being used for cooking, to decorate drinks or as spices.
