Lewisia cotyledon 'Elise' is a spectacular succulent perennial, prized for its delicate but highly visible flowers in a variety of shades including pink, orange, yellow, white and coral. It is a modern variety, specially selected for rapid flowering , even from the first year of cultivation, and for the variety of intense colors , all on the same plant.
This compact and decorative plant forms a rosette of fleshy, green leaves, and the flowers appear in rich clusters above the foliage. It reaches a height of 10-15 cm , which makes it ideal for small spaces, planters or rockeries.
☀️ Growing conditions
• Light : Full sun or partial shade – blooms more abundantly in direct light, but also tolerates filtered light.
• Soil : Light, drained, sandy or stony – does not tolerate excessive moisture, especially during the cold period.
• Watering : Moderate – water rarely, only when the soil is completely dry; avoid watering directly in the middle of the rosette.
• Resistance : Withstands low temperatures down to -15°C , but requires excellent drainage to prevent root rot.
• Maintenance : Low – does not require frequent trimming or fertilization.
Flowering period : April - September , with a slight break during hot periods, resuming flowering in autumn.
