Kiwi - Actinidia arguta 'Issai' (mini-Kiwi) (pot 9cm)
Kiwi - Actinidia Arguta 'Issai' is a self-fertile variety, resistant to negative temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius.
Actinidia arguta 'Issai' is the result of crossing two varieties Actinidia arguta and Actinidia polygama.
The fruits have a smooth skin, which makes them directly consumable, even with the skin still on them. Although they are small in size, they compensate with abundance - the yield is quite high and the growth is quite compact for a kiwi. Kiwi can be harvested in September. This variety produces the first fruits, usually in the first year after planting.
Cultivation recommendations: Cultivated on trellises/arches/fences, like a vine. We recommend you choose an area sheltered from the wind, preferably next to a wall/fence with southern exposure. Kiwi Issai appreciates heat and direct sun. The first cuts can be made 2 years after planting, at the end of winter or immediately after harvesting.
It does not require special soil (but prefers slightly acidic soil) and is resistant to diseases and pests, being naturally considered "pest free".
Pot diameter: 9 cm
Height with pots included: approx. 20-30 cm (varies depending on the season)
