Hedera helix ‘Wonder’ – iedera englezeasca verde, rezistenta si versatila
Hedera helix 'Wonder' is a vigorous variety of ivy (also known as English ivy), decorative with its glossy green leaves, with a characteristic lobed shape. It is an ideal plant for indoor or outdoor decoration, being easy to maintain and excellent as a hanging, creeping or trailing plant.

Appearance and use:
Its green, persistent and dense leaves create an excellent covering effect. The plant can be grown:
- As a creeping plant in hanging pots or planters
- As a hanging plant, if it is given support (trellis, wall, fence)
- In the garden, as ground cover or shaded walls
Care and requirements:
- Light: indirect light or partial shade; tolerates weaker light.
- Watering: regular, letting the substrate dry partially between waterings.
- Humidity: medium to high; easily adaptable.
- Substrate: universal, well-drained.
- Fertilization: monthly between March and September.
Outdoor cultivation:
Hedera helix 'Wonder' can also be grown in the garden in Romania, being frost resistant down to approximately -20°C. It is recommended:
- Planting in the ground, at the base of fences, walls or trees
- Semi-shaded or shady positions
- Protecting roots in the first years in regions with very harsh winters
Attention: In pots, it is advisable to move it to a protected space in winter, as the roots can freeze more easily.
